A life of poetry readings, amateur nights of song and spoken word to standing ovations, writing, singing, searching  for my authentic voice, spiritually and in many ways, of teaching with joy.  Suddenly I can’t lift my arm to write on the board, snapping at students,  at my fellow Lab Instructors, turning into someone I didn’t know, no one knew,  unable to do what I had been doing for over ten years, teaching ESL.  Everything about my life that had been, wasn’t anymore.”   That is when life changed for me, when Fibromyalgia turned it all upside down.  Where did I go from there?

I could have given up, crawled up and retired from the world, life, but instead I decided to move towards the one constant in my life, the arts and sharing what was in my heart, so here we are.
